Sr. Certification Analyst

About your role:

Fiserv is a global leader in payments and financial technology, moving money and information in a way that moves the world. This team performs critical certifications for vendor, gateway, and client solutions to ensure high-performance transaction processing. As a key member of this team, you will enable the onboarding of new client business and ensure compliance with Card Association and Legal mandates, directly preventing revenue loss and operational risk.

What you’ll do:

  • Technical Point of Contact: Serve as a confident and accessible primary contact for clients, easily interfacing with diverse stakeholders to guide their certification and integration onto the platform.
  • Individual Contribution: Act as a strong individual contributor, demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Full Lifecycle Management: Manage the overall certification and integration process, including discovery, specification review, technical set-up, issue resolution, product integration, network configuration, and reporting.
  • Expectation Management: Manage client and internal team expectations to ensure all project target dates are met, even when navigating tight deadlines or complex challenges.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure all specifications and compliance mandates are strictly followed throughout the certification process.
  • Technical Consultation: Review and consult on transaction scripts, formats, and responses based on transaction and payment scripting.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate, schedule, and plan resource activities to ensure timely and effective project delivery.
  • Collaborative Support: Partner with network, production, and other resources to manage client or vendor tests, connectivity, and successful "go-live" events.

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education, and military.
  • Resilience & Autonomy: Proven ability to work well under pressure in a high-stakes environment and perform as a strong individual contributor with minimal supervision.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of transaction processing formats and industry association rules, highly preferred.
  • Functional Expertise in assigned areas of support (PC, Terminal, Vendor, or Internal Products) as well as telecommunications and operating systems.
  • Technical Proficiency in data file analysis; knowledge of programming, shell scripts, and JCL may be required.
  • North Mainframe experience and a strong understanding of business processes and functions.
  • Excellent Verbal Communication Skills to lead calls with Clients, Internal resources, and the Management team.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Products, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS-Project.
  • Determination and Drive to continually follow up and validate information as a self-directed contributor in a fast-paced environment.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Previous experience working with developers and TCoE in a matrixed corporate environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of specific Brand (Visa/Mastercard) chargeback and fine structures.

How you’ll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
  • This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.

Salary Range:

$72,000.00-$105,500.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
