SDET System Integration Tester for AndroidWhat does a successful SDET System Integration Tester do at Clover?
What you will do:
Analyze and understand product requirements by participating in requirement gathering and analysis, enabling effective test case design and execution.
Design, create, and review test cases to ensure accuracy, completeness, and applicability for the products under test.
Execute integration, system, feature interaction, stress, performance, and carrier validation testing across different products on 3G/Wi-Fi networks.
Test applications across 2G/3G/Wi-Fi networks and validate overall consumer experience.
Perform end-to-end functional testing across Android and web-based products.
Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate testing activities, including test case generation, defect analysis, exploratory testing, and test coverage improvement.
Leverage AI tools to analyze logs, identify potential failure patterns, and improve defect detection efficiency.
Track and communicate testing progress by creating and maintaining test plans, reports, and metrics.
Collaborate closely with feature-focused squads, helping define acceptance criteria, supporting testing efforts, and representing the customer perspective for high-quality product delivery.
Identify defects and validate product behavior using black-box testing techniques (test matrices, combination testing, risk-based testing) and gray-box techniques (database queries, log analysis, and limited source code insights).
Execute test work efficiently in fast-paced release cycles (1–2 weeks) with minimal supervision.
Contribute beyond manual testing into areas such as automation, platform testing, and internationalization/localization validation.
What you will need to have:
5–7 years of experience in Software Testing / Quality Assurance.
Strong proficiency in black-box testing techniques, functional testing, and user flow validation.
Experience testing on Android (primary) and iOS devices.
AI Required Skills: Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools for test case creation, defect investigation, and generative AI for QA activities.
Strong understanding of SDLC, release knowledge, and Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
Microservices & Infrastructure: Knowledge of microservice testing and familiarity with tools such as Kubernetes and Argo.
Observability: Proficiency with monitoring tools such as Grafana, Kibana, or Data Dog to monitor production environments.
Technical Tools: Familiarity with Android testing tools (ADB, DDMS, Monkey) and experience using any Development IDE (e.g., Visual Studio) for scripting.
Experience with database querying and web application testing.
Experience using defect tracking tools, test management systems, Jenkins, and Git.
What would be great to have:
Test case Automation experience.
Experience with gray-box testing.
Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as C++, Java, Python, or Shell scripting.
Salary Range
$124,800.00 - $187,200.00These pay ranges apply to employees in Sunnyvale, California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
