Job Title

Senior QA Teast Lead - Commerce Hub

About your role:

At Fiserv, we are committed to transforming financial services technology to deliver greater value for our clients. As a Senior QA Test Lead in our Payment Processing group, you will play a pivotal role in driving quality across a large-scale modernisation programme — re-platforming a critical payment acquiring system to a cloud-native, event-driven microservices architecture on AWS.

This is more than a test management role. It is an opportunity to lead a high-performing test team, embed automation-first practices across engineering teams, and raise the bar for how quality is built, measured and sustained across a complex, multi-domain programme processing millions of transactions daily.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage the programme-level test team across multiple domain workstreams — owning day-to-day test execution, priorities and delivery commitments
  • Define and drive the test strategy across all phases — integration, regression, end-to-end and cross-domain — covering the full acquiring lifecycle from transaction capture through clearing, settlement, merchant funding and disputes
  • Champion an automation-first approach, advocating for and driving automation coverage across domain-driven and regression pathways, with automated quality gates embedded into CI/CD pipelines
  • Own defect tracking, triage, assessment, analysis and management across the programme — ensuring consistent classification, timely resolution and clear stakeholder visibility
  • Mentor and coach test engineers on best practice — test design, coverage thinking, automation standards and defect rigour — building team capability and a quality-focused culture
  • Provide clear, timely quality reporting to programme leadership — covering test progress, automation coverage, defect health and delivery risk
  • Identify coverage gaps across domain boundaries and the end-to-end transaction chain, driving remediation before they become delivery blockers
  • Contribute to programme planning, milestone readiness and go-live cutover assessments from a quality perspective

Experience you’ll need to have:

  • Proven experience leading QA test teams across large, complex enterprise-level programmes — spanning multiple teams, domains and workstreams simultaneously
  • Hands-on experience testing cloud-native, event-driven microservices architectures and an understanding of the test challenges specific to distributed, asynchronous systems
  • Demonstrated track record of driving automation adoption — across regression suites, API-level testing and CI/CD pipeline integration
  • Deep experience in defect lifecycle management — triage, classification, trend analysis, root cause and reporting — at programme scale
  • Experience mentoring and developing test engineers, lifting capability and shifting team culture toward quality ownership
  • Strong communication skills — able to translate quality data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Comfortable operating at pace in an Agile or scaled Agile delivery environment, balancing rigour with the need to keep delivery moving

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience in financial services or payments — acquiring, issuing, banking or equivalent high-volume transactional environments — with an understanding of transaction lifecycles, scheme processing and settlement
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture testing — Kafka, async processing and challenges such as ordering, idempotency and eventual consistency
  • Experience supporting legacy-to-modern platform migrations, including parallel-run validation and parity testing
  • Exposure to AWS, containerised environments (Kubernetes, Docker) and observability tooling from a testing perspective
  • Familiarity with synthetic test data management practices for cloud-native platforms.
