ABOUT PATHWISE

Pathwise (formerly TransAct) is a leading provider of cloud-based operational solutions built for the K-12 education community. With more than 30 years of experience and a team that includes former district administrators and transportation directors, we build software that solves the real challenges of running school operations. Serving more than 3,000 school districts and charter organizations—along with 25+ state departments of education—Pathwise delivers expertise-driven tools across student transportation, after-school program management, McKinney-Vento coordination, parent communication, and board governance. We’re growing, investing in our products, and building a marketing team to match our ambitions.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Product Marketing Manager to own Pathwise’s product positioning, competitive intelligence, go-to-market launches, and thought leadership—while also driving our social media presence. This role is the connective tissue between product, sales, and marketing: you’ll translate complex product capabilities into compelling narratives that resonate with K-12 administrators, transportation directors, and district decision-makers. You’ll also own Pathwise’s social media strategy and execution, building our brand voice across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other relevant platforms to amplify thought leadership, product news, and industry engagement. The ideal candidate is a strong writer who can shift seamlessly between a product launch brief, a competitive battlecard, and a LinkedIn post that earns engagement. As part of a lean, high-performing marketing team, this is a planning-and-doing role—you’ll set the strategy and execute it. This is an excellent opportunity for a product marketer who wants to shape how a market leader communicates its value during a period of significant growth. This is a remote position open to candidates based anywhere in the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Marketing

  • Research and develop positioning and messaging for Pathwise’s product portfolio, translating technical capabilities into clear business value for K-12 administrators and district leaders.
  • Own competitive intelligence—monitoring the market landscape, maintaining battlecards, and equipping sales with differentiation talking points.
  • Plan and execute product launches, including messaging frameworks, internal enablement, customer communications, and cross-functional timelines.
  • Create and maintain sales enablement materials including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, ROI frameworks, and product-focused content.
  • Own and manage product content on the Pathwise website, ensuring it reflects current positioning and drives conversion.
  • Partner closely with product management to stay ahead of the roadmap and shape go-to-market strategy for new features and releases.
  • Engage Pathwise’s partner community with co-marketing materials, product update communications, and reseller enablement content.
  • Develop thought leadership content—blog posts, whitepapers, webinar topics, and speaking abstracts—that positions Pathwise as the industry authority.

Social Media

  • Own and execute Pathwise’s social media strategy across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other relevant channels.
  • Create and publish a consistent cadence of social content that amplifies product launches, thought leadership, company news, customer wins, and industry trends.
  • Monitor social engagement, grow Pathwise’s following, and identify opportunities for executive and employee advocacy.
  • Track social media performance metrics and report on reach, engagement, and contribution to brand awareness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5–8 years of product marketing experience, ideally at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills—you can craft everything from a product brief to a social media post with equal quality.
  • Demonstrated capability to leverage AI tool and best practices to enhance marketing programs, analyze results, improve performance.
  • Experience developing product positioning, messaging frameworks, and competitive intelligence programs.
  • Track record of successful product launches with cross-functional coordination.
  • Hands-on social media management experience, including content creation, scheduling, and analytics (LinkedIn expertise required).
  • Ability to translate technical product features into business outcomes that resonate with non-technical buyers.
  • Experience creating sales enablement materials that measurably support the sales process.
  • Strong collaboration skills—especially with product management and sales teams.
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience with marketing tools such as HubSpot, WordPress, Canva, and social media management platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in K-12 education technology (EdTech) or public sector marketing.
  • Familiarity with student transportation, school operations, or district administration.
  • Experience with analyst relations or industry awards programs.

WHAT WE OFFER

Pathwise offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, generous PTO, paid holidays, and the flexibility of a fully remote work environment.
