About the Opportunity
We’re looking for a Manager of Client Success with a passion for learning, a kind heart, a positive attitude, and a great sense of humor to join our growing team. The Manager of Client Success will be charged with leading and managing a team of Client Success Managers (CSM) to drive results that tie back to the strategic initiatives of the broader Client Success Team. S/he will take ownership of ensuring that CSMs are effectively driving product adoption, maximizing the value clients receive from ClearGov as well as influencing cross-sells and renewals of annual subscriptions. The Manager of Client Success will be a key player on an incredible team as we execute our mission to help local governments and school districts take the next step from good to great.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and empower the client success team members to be successful in their roles
- Ensure execution of client journey touchpoints, including onboarding, business reviews, retention, cross-sells, and advocacy
- Ensure adherence to Client Success Manager processes and policies including keeping account records and activities up to date in all systems, logging clear and concise notes after key client interactions, and following escalation paths
- Coach team on client success best practices
- Train new Client Success Managers to ensure a quick and effective ramp
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of goals and activities
- Oversee escalations for assigned accounts and team accounts and assist the team with save tactics when needed
- Work with Product to prioritize client features and requests
- Foster a positive team culture and participate in team development including hiring, onboarding, career development, and performance management
- Consistently demonstrate knowledge of local government and school finance best practices
- Collaborate on process & system modifications to improve team success and enable growth
Critical Skills/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a client success or client-facing role
- Demonstrated management experience leading teams in a software company
- Strong collaboration, time-management, influencing, and prioritization skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships internally and with clients
- Excellent listening, presentation, and communication skills at all levels
- Google Suite, ChurnZero, and Salesforce experience preferred
- Experience working with local governments and school districts is a definite plus
