Role of the Sales Development Representative
An SDR at EatClub is part of the sales team, responsible for generating new business opportunities and building a pipeline that drives growth across markets. You’ll work closely with Account Executives, Business Development Managers, and sales leaders to qualify prospects, book meetings, and fuel the broader sales motion. This is a role where you are expected to compete, embrace discomfort, and constantly raise the bar. Our next SDR is a superstar in the making who is hungry, ambitious, and driven to make a real impact on the business. This is a career-defining role.
Work Environment
The SDR team is expected to be in the office 3 days a week at our Melbourne CBD office. You may be required to work from the office 5 days a week when business needs arise, giving you the chance to connect in person with colleagues, brainstorm, and build strong relationships across the team. The environment is fast-paced, high-pressure, and collaborative, with a strong focus on performance, growth, and learning.

- Qualify leads against the Ideal Customer Profile and book meetings for AEs or BDMs
- Build and manage your own pipeline to consistently exceed monthly targets
- Partner with AEs, BDMs, and State Sales Managers to prioritise high-value opportunities
- Track all activity in HubSpot, keeping data accurate, clean, and actionable
- Continuously test and refine your outreach approach to improve results
- Support market launches, campaign pilots, and other strategic sales projects
- Gather insights on competitors, local trends, and restaurant behaviour to inform strategy
You Have

- Collaborative attitude, thriving in a team environment and working closely with colleagues and managers
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic, high-pressure environment with monthly quotas
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple prospects, follow-ups, and pipeline activities simultaneously
It would be extra awesome if you also had
- Use existing outreach insights and performance trends to refine and improve your approach
- Work with tools like HubSpot and AI platforms to streamline processes and maximise impact
You Are
- Driven by targets and only accept overachieving
- Resilient and stay composed under pressure
- Open-minded, listen to feedback, and take action on it
- Hungry to learn and actively apply what matters most to improve quickly
- Patient and consistent, even through tough calls or challenging days
- Accountable for your pipeline, results, career, and growth
- Tech-savvy and you are quick to learn new tools
- Strategic thinker with analytical mindset

- Bigger opportunities comes fast, unlocking growth and increased responsibility (we’re a high growth scale up, so this role can accelerate your career at an exponential rate)
Maybe This Role is Not for You
- You are satisfied with just hitting quota and do not enjoy pushing yourself to exceed targets
- You need clear structure, hand-holding, or step-by-step guidance to perform and struggle with high ownership
- You prefer working independently without collaborating with a team
- You find healthy competition demotivating or stressful rather than energising
- You do not enjoy outbound calling or speaking to strangers every day
- You are uncomfortable in a fast paced environment with clear performance expectations
- You are not willing to take full ownership of your pipeline and results
- You take feedback personally and struggle to apply constructive criticism to improve your work or behaviour
