Hodo Foods is a sustainable tofu and plant-based food company based in Oakland, California. We started at the farmers market 20+ years ago. Today, we are still dedicated to our farmers market values of fresh and delicious! The Marketing Associate Summer position assists the Hodo Marketing team to execute on campaigns and events. The position is 30–40 hours per week from May until August 2026. The role is hybrid and for 2+ days you will work at our Oakland offices. You will have a chance to work at our Farmers Market booth at the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, 2–3x during the summer. You will work with a fun, small but mighty team of marketers. Responsibilities: Support the marketing team with planning and implementation of marketing campaigns and events; Support the Hodo Marketing & Sales team; Lead and assist with the execution of marketing campaigns working with team leads; Analyze key performance indicators and return on investment for campaigns, and draft campaign wrap-up reports; Conduct and assist with benchmarking analysis, market research, and consumer studies; Maintain the Digital Asset Library, develop press packets and coordinate with press agency; Deliver products and brand swag in the Bay Area; Help with other campaigns as necessary; Manage our customer service emails including solving customer problems and reporting on metrics; Staff our Farmers Market booth at the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on select Saturdays from 6am to 3pm (with overtime pay), including assisting with setup and breakdown of booth (when FM manager is on vacation); Support the Hodo events team with event planning and staffing, and ship company swag to customers. Qualifications: Some work experience required (marketing preferred but not required); Eager to learn; Creative and analytical mindset; Excellent listening, writing, and communication skills; Detail-oriented; Diligent; Able to work remote responsibly and independently; Passion for and knowledge of marketing or food (better-for-you, organic/non-GMO/regen ag); Experienced with Google Docs, Slides & Spreadsheets; Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for 8–10 hours with rest breaks; Reliable, punctual, and professional.
