Hodo Foods is a sustainable tofu and plant-based food company based in Oakland, California. We started at the farmers market 20+ years ago. Today, we are still dedicated to our farmers market values of fresh and delicious! The role is 30-40 hours/week and hybrid. For 2+ days you will work at our Oakland offices. Pay range for this position is $25-$29 per hour.Responsibilities (minimum 13-15 hours): Setup/breakdown of farmers market booth every Saturday; Drive sales at the booth; Drive supplies from Oakland warehouse to SF Ferry Plaza; Manage relationship with market manager including communicating market sales, closures, and chef demos; Manage the P&L of the booth including managing inventory, driving sales, coordinating partnerships to drive seasonal sales; Identify market best practices and recommend improvements; Build relationships with our farmers market guests, chef/restaurant/food service customers, etc.Marketing Associate Responsibilities: Support the marketing team with programs and campaigns (e.g., set up and launch sales and marketing activities for new retailers); Own inventory, organization, order management, and shipping of marketing swag and materials; Support end-to-end planning and execution of both digital and in-person events, including logistics coordination, vendor management, timeline creation, on-site support, and post-event follow-up; Assist with digital asset management (e-commerce assets); Assist with and work special events within Bay Area and potentially outside; Respond to customer service queries as necessary.Qualifications: Some work experience preferred (retail sales, brand ambassador or customer service; marketing preferred but not required); Eager to learn; Ability to lift 50 lbs; Able to stand through an 8–10 hour shift (with required breaks); Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation; Reliable, punctual, and professional; Excellent people and communication skills and comfort speaking in public; Good writing skills; Detail-oriented with numbers, paperwork, and customer information; Ability to work remote responsibly; Ability to work independently with little supervision and success working in small teams; Passion for and knowledge of food (organic/non-GMO/sustainable/plant-based/vegan); Experience with Google Docs & Spreadsheets.
