About the Job
As Life360 continues its strong international growth, we're looking for a Creative Director, International to lead creative strategy and execution across our key international markets—UK, Australia, The Netherlands, Germany, Brazil, Mexico, and more. Based in the UK, you'll be both an extension of our US-based Global Creative Team and a key leader in our international marketing team bringing our brand to life in ways that drives outsized growth across our international markets while staying true to our global creative vision.
This role is all about balance: as you lead regional creative work you will also be collaborating closely with the broader creative team. You will develop thoughtful and creative ways to balance global brand consistency with local relevancy to ensure Life360 becomes an iconic brand worldwide, while also making sure your creative is ultimately helping the business deliver on its mission to become the number 1 family safety app with the largest member base in the world. You will oversee regional agencies and production partners across multiple markets, manage an in-house brand designer on our UK-based team, and collaborate closely with the International Marketing team as well as the wider Life360 org.
This role reports directly into the VP, Brand and Creative with dotted reporting line into the Senior Director, International Marketing. It sits within both the global creative team and the international marketing team and has accountability to both.
This role is based in Central London with a hybrid model of remote and in person/office meetings.
The UK-based salary range for this position is £109,500 - 128,000 with an additional performance-based cash bonus. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary - therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
What You’ll Do
- Lead regional creative strategy for our international markets, ensuring all work ladders up to our global brand and creative strategy while respecting local culture, customs, and market nuances
- Extend global campaigns into international markets under the direction of our Global Creative Director, adapting and localizing work to maximize relevance and impact
- Deliver iconic work that drives cut through in congested markets and ultimately delivers outsized growth in awareness, consideration and conversion
- Keep your finger on the pulse of culture, trends, and conversation in our key markets, proactively identifying opportunities for Life360 to show up in meaningful ways
- Manage external relationships with regional creative agencies and production partners, directing their work to meet brand, creative, and business objectives
- Collaborate seamlessly with our Global Creative Team, joining team meetings and maintaining ongoing communication to ensure alignment
- Manage the international creative budget to effectively deliver work on time and on budget
- Direct and manage a UK-based designer, helping them grow while delivering excellent work
- Partner cross-functionally with our International Marketing team and other stakeholders to bring regional campaigns to life
What We’re Looking For
- 10+ years of experience leading creative work including a demonstrable track record as an Associate Creative Director and/or Creative Director
- A portfolio of work that shows your track record of producing stand out creative work that is breakthrough, memorable, and performant
- Deep knowledge of multiple international markets, specifically including two or more of: UK, Australia, The Netherlands, Germany (bonus points for experience in Sweden, France, Brazil, or Mexico)
- A high level of craft—you care about details, have strong creative taste, and know how to turn good ideas into great creative executions
- Collaboratively autonomous—you thrive when building on a strong creative foundation rather than needing to reinvent the wheel, and you're comfortable taking direction while also taking initiative
- Exceptional storytelling skills across all mediums and platforms
- High confidence, low ego—you're secure enough in your abilities that you don't need your fingerprints on everything, and you genuinely celebrate great ideas regardless of where they come from
- Fiercely optimistic—you bring positive energy to your work and the teams you are part of and approach creative collaboration with a “yes, and...” mindset
- Excellent communication skills across formats, time zones, and audiences—from presenting to stakeholders to giving creative feedback to brainstorming on Slack
- High tolerance for creative risk—you push for bold work and can build the case for why it's worth doing
- Agency and in-house experience, with proven ability to manage external creative partners
- A collaborative spirit that extends beyond the creative team to cross-functional partners in marketing, product, insights, and beyond
- The right balance between speed and execution - and the experience to know how far to push in each direction
