Job Description

Job Title: Sales Executive

Direct Report to: General Manager, ISO BJ

Dot-line Report to: Portfolio Head of Growth, Mining Indaba

Based at Beijing, China

Job Purpose

Drive sales from China to Mining Indaba, including space, sponsorship, advertisement and delegate pass by selling to new individual customers, to achieve revenue targets and other business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop knowledge of event related industry sectors from market research or intelligence, associations, media, competitive events, sales conversation and etc

- Build strong relationships with key gov’t bodies, industry associations to learn market intelligence and gain funding support for China exhibitors to Mining Indaba

- Execute sales activities and campaigns, such as sales calls, F2F meetings, roadshows and etc to develop sales opportunities and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

- Sell sponsorship and advertisement to improve Chinese exhibitors' ROI.

- Work with marketing team closely to execute event local marketing campaigns to generate and follow up new leads and sales opportunities

- Support on customer service for Chinese exhibitors and delegates on time by working with Hyve event teams and external suppliers, including money collection, registration, invitation letters, floor map consolidation, stand build-up, exhibits shipping etc.

- Finish tasks assigned by Sales Managers daily

Requirements

- Proficiency of Mandarin and English.

- Good at using CRM

- Excellent communication, presentation skills and interpersonal skills

- Enjoy domestic and international trips

- Highly self-motivated, self-disciplined and ambitious

- Able to manage pressure and deal with multi tasks under pressure

- Loves challenges, reliable, mature and resilient

- A collaborative team player and willing to learn

- Experienced in an international environment
